What is Aquamation?

Aquamation is a gentler, environmentally friendly water-based pet cremation service. During an Aquamation service, your pet's body is placed into an alkali bath. Alkali are the salts and minerals from the earth that would help a body to break down naturally if buried. What remains is the same ash received from conventional cremation. Because Aquamation is gentler, more of your pet's ashes are returned. Aquamation also eliminates any of the pollution created during conventional cremation. On average, every pet served by Heavenly Paws is like taking a car off the road for 500 miles of driving.

Aquamation is the pet related trade name for the process called Alkaline Hydrolysis. Watch this video to learn more: Alkaline Hydrolysis Overview
